Gradient Nails

I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July! I had a lovely day with family. The fireworks drove poor Lonnie crazy. I think he is happy this holiday has passed.

The next project on the big list I gave a whirl was Gradient Nails from The Nailosaurus

I have to admit something about this project, I didn't follow the instructions perfectly. I attempted the nail design from memory, so please forgive my mistakes.

I chose this three versions of pink for the project.

I polished my nails light pink for the base.

Next, on wax paper, I combined the two other colors.

Using a sponge, I transferred the polish by pressing it directly on my nail bed.

The results were less than perfect. In fact, it was less than stellar. It was, in actuality, awful.

After each finger, it turned out worse and worse.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to give this project a big thumbs down. I'm pretty sure this turned out so terribly because I did it wrong. I take all of the blame - if I give it another try I'll let you know. But until then, I have a long list of projects to complete.
