Fancy Do

I am always looking for fun new ways to style my hair. All summer long you can find me in a sundress with some type of braid in my hair.

When I came across this great, and seemingly easy tutorial on Pinterest I was excited! The full post can be found on OH SO PRETTY the DIARIES.

Before we get started, I apologize for the heinous photos. I was using a timer and I still don't know what I am doing. I not be doing this again until I can figure it out. I really need to take a photography class.

So I recently had my hair dyed ombre - meaning dark to light - top to bottom.
My hair pulls red so it's a really interesting ombre effect. I love it. I thought this would be a perfect hairdo for the ombre style.

The first step is to split your hair into 3 ponies. I kept them really loose.

Next, braid the ponies.

Wrap the braids around themselves into little buns and pin.

All done. Guess what? It was easy!

Side view is alright. I think I'd give it a B-.

So, I really did not do a good job of hiding the pony holders.

The idea is great, but because my hair is so fine, I really don't think it's the most attractive look. I think I'll keep this on the back burner for awhile.

  1. Hey, thanks for doing a post on our hair tutorial. I think you could make this work if you tried hairspraying & teasing your hair before you braid. Also, you want the 3 buns to be closer together and kinda run into each other. This is achieved by pinning the buns together & keeping the buns loose. Hope that helps!
