Cookie Euphoria

 I shared with you the savory World Famous Ribs yesterday. Today I have decided to share with you something sweet. My go-to cookie is the peanut butter cookie. I've tried a gazillion recipes. This is by far the best recipe I've ever used. 

I found an incredible recipe at Is This Really My Life. Let's get started. 

1 Cup Peanut Butter
2 Eggs
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Sugar (plus 1/4 Cup for later)
3/4 Cup Butter, room temperature (I cut this to 1/2 Cup, I recommend it.)
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt

Start by creaming the butter.

Next add the sugars - but save the extra 1/4 Cup of sugar for later.

Time for the peanut butter!

The next step is vanilla.

Instead of mixing the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, I just added it right away. I started with the salt, baking powder, and baking soda...

followed by the flour.

The next thing I did was put the remaining sugar in a little cute blue bowl.

I formed small balls of cookie dough and rolled in the sugar.

Using the predictable fork tine pattern, I flattened the cookies.

Ready to go! I popped them in the oven at 350° for 11 minutes.

I think I may have put too many cookies on the sheet.

Verdict? THE BEST PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES IN THE WORLD! It's rare that I use all caps - so this is serious.
